Spin off Shrek -this is actually a prequel which tells the story of Puss in Boots, kitty adventurers voiced with great charisma by Antonio Banderas.

There is a cat more jokes and references to fairy tales in this story than I have time to mention. The cat in the character's shoes is one of the best parts of Shrek film, but he's a little goes a long way. The cat had some difficulty maintaining his shtick for 90 minutes, so film-o-meters give Puss in Boots four out of five.
On the plus side, this lively, colorful film and family friendly. 3-d really isn't bad either, but I don't like to wear their glasses. Like most animated movies, there's little nuggets of wisdom but don't expect this fabled to play out the way You remember from Your childhood-especially with this cat, brash Zorro-like as the lead.
