Plan a trip? The road will be wet

The flood of 1.6 million more Americans expected trip this Thanksgiving rather than the latter, exceptional Interstate rest stops, and gasoline. Here in New England, a torrent of rain today is expected to make miserable driving day even worse.

Imagine the kind of day parking on Massachusetts Turnpike. Then add 1 to 2 inches of driving rain.

The heaviest rain is expected to be early today, from around 6 to 10 a.m., the driver who left early to torture to beat traffic Thanksgiving. Some of the higher altitudes in the Berkshires and North of route 2 may see some flakes. Part of New Hampshire and Maine might be buried under more than a foot of snow.

But most of the 1.5 million to 1.8 million New Englanders are expected to travel this weekend will need an umbrella, not a snow shovel.
